Each fall and spring semester, EDRE faculty coordinate research experiences for students outside of the classroom setting. These brownbag presentations may include presentations of EDRE or outside faculty research, presentations of student research (e.g., preparation for a conference, presentation of a research apprenticeship, or defense of a doctoral dissertation), or other informative talks or discussions (e.g., interviewing, publishing, etc.). EDRE doctoral students are expected to enroll for at least 1 hour of EDAE 7994 credit each semester and to attend the EDRE brownbag presentations to receive credit for those research hours. Students who cannot attend a particular brownbag session should contact their advisors. Students who cannot attend brownbag sessions for a particular semester due to schedule conflicts should contact their advisors to obtain permission to engage in alternative research activities for EDAE 7994 credit.
