Dr. Belli’s current research interests deal with teaching and communicating statistical concepts to non-technical audiences and with statistical consulting and the two-way teaching/learning process in consultation. She is a charter member of and active in the International Association of Statistical Education, an organization devoted to such issues. At the national level, she has been involved with the Educational Statisticians SIG of the American Educational Research Association since 1985 and is an Associate Editor for The Journal of Educational Statistics. Currently the only EDRE faculty member at VT’s Northern Virginia Center in Falls Church, she teaches the advanced statistics, multivariate statistics, survey research, and two quantitative methods courses. She is serving on committees for students in educational research, teaching and learning, counseling, adult and continuing education, and engineering. Before embarking on a Ph.D., Dr. Belli was a math teacher in grades 6 through 12.
