This virtual program is designed to provide students with information that will give them an understanding of the antecedents and correlates to many of today’s health problems. Students will acquire skills and competencies that will enable them to develop, implement, and evaluate programs or interventions that are designed to promote, protect, or improve the health and well-being of various clientele. Successful completion of this program leads to a master’s of science degree and enables most graduates to take the Certified Health Specialist (C.H.E.S.) examination.

International students: Due to I.N.S. enrollment restrictions, international students who desire to reside in the U.S. during their program are not eligible for this program under most circumstances.

Admission Requirements

Students are not required to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) for admission into this program. The specific admission requirement is that the applicant have a bachelor’s degree with a grade point average of 3.0 for regular master’s, 2.75 for provisional master’s status. Recommendation letters, while not required, may, on occasion, be requested.
