Scores sent after this time will not be considered and students will be removed from the program as their application will be incomplete.
  4. If in doubt, follow the detailed steps outlined in the Checklist for Pre-service teachers handout that you received in your first advising session.

Students who are accepted will also be required to register for and pass the Virginia Communication and Literacy Assessment (VCLA). This may be done in Fall of the Masters year but must be completed in Fall, prior to starting full time student teaching, Spring of the Masters year.

Virginia Tech students should begin the application process early in the fall term of the senior year, immediately after their first advising meeting with Dr Parkes in August of the senior year.
