Center Advisory/NCATE Steering Committee:

The Center for Teacher Education has an advisory committee that functions in two capacities in varying degrees, depending on the tasks at hand. Because the Center is responsible for all NCATE related activities as well as field placements and data collection on candidates, the Center Advisory is the appropriate committee to also discuss NCATE related issues and feed information back to programs as well as bring issues from programs to the committee representatives.

The Center Advisory/NCATE Steering Committee is comprised of the Director for Teacher Education, the Dean of the College of Human Sciences and Education, program leaders of elementary education, special education, counseling, agriculture education, teacher education in the sciences and humanities (TESH), career and technical education, psychological foundations, social foundations, principal preparation, instructional technology, technology education, early childhood education, enrollment services coordinator, and a graduate student representative.
