The Superintendents'
Advisory Board is a headed by the Dean of the College of Human Sciences
and Education, who invites 20 superintendents from across Virginia for membership
on a rotating basis for three years. In addition to the Dean, the College
representatives are the two education department heads, the Associate Dean
for Outreach, and the Director of the Center for Teacher Education. The
Advisory Board provides an opportunity for superintendents to share with
the College representatives activities and issues in their school divisions
and state and system level policies that impact education as well as to
discuss teacher preparation and advanced program issues.
