Wendy Gentry

July 28, 2015 – Instructional Design and Technology doctoral student Wendy Gentry has been selected by the Association for Educational Communications and Technology as the 2015-16 Strohbehn Intern, one of the most prestigious awards in the field. The Strohbehn Internship is awarded to a graduate student who displays exemplary leadership potential and dedication to AECT and the field.

For the past four years, Wendy has been involved in a variety of media production and outreach initiatives for AECT. She has also taken on leadership responsibilities through her role as the the AECT Graduate Student Association Communications Officer, serving also as a conference planner for that division. She was recently elected as Secretary of the Research and Theory Division. The Strohbehn Internship award will be presented at the AECT International Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana in November. Wendy is the advisee of Dr. Barbara Lockee, Professor of Instructional Design and Technology.
