Center for Assessment, Evaluation and Educational Programming (CAEEP)
CAEEP incorporates technology into the collection, maintenance, analysis and reporting of data. The center provides multidimensional services to clients in education, government, business, and industry, such as local and state education agencies and corrections in the public sector, and industry and health agencies in the private sector. CAEEP's objective is to provide clients efficient and secure systems for collecting, compiling, storing, and analyzing data and reporting results. These systems have applications in formative and summative evaluation, survey research, and operations monitoring, while improving the reliability, validity, and timeliness of the data.
Center for Instructional Technology Solutions in Industry and Education (CITSIE)
CITSIE is an integral component of the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences at Virginia Tech. The Center’s mission is to conduct research to inform instructional practice, as well as to provide outreach to clients in K-12 education, higher education, business, and government. Activities of the Center include instructional technology research, instructional design and development consulting, program and product evaluation, and the development of technology skills across a variety of clientele. The projects of CITSIE provide excellent opportunities for IT graduate students to become involved in authentic, problem-based learning experiences, as well as serve as a milieu for instructional technology research and development.
Center for Research and Development in International Education (CRaDIE)
CRaDIE is a research and development centere whose mission is to provide focus for international and cross-cultural research as well as provide outreach activities to clients in K-12, higher education, government, and non-governmental organizations at home and abroad. In addition, the center provides consulting expertise and/or collaborative efforts with faculty and students across the university as well as institutions throughout the United States and in other countries. Among its goals is to seek and apply for funded research for international activities, and promote understanding for and appreciation of cultures and traditions that provide a foundation for cooperation and engagement with people from around the world.
Training and Technical Assistance Center (T/TAC)
The mission of the T/TAC is to improve educational opportunities and contribute to the success of children and youth with disabilities (birth-22 years). The Center provides quality training and technical assistance in response to local, regional, and state needs. T/TAC services increase the capacity of schools, school personnel, service providers, and families to meet needs of children and youth. The Training and Technical Assistance Center for Professionals Serving Students with Disabilities at Virginia Tech and Radford University is part of a statewide technical assistance program based at university sites across the Common Wealth of Virginia. The T/TACs, funded through a grant by The Virginia Department of Education, provide services to teachers, administrators, and others requesting assistance for their students in special education. Consultations, workshops, information, and referrals are provided free of charge.
