On-campus
All classrooms on the Blacksburg campus have high-speed wireless internet access points. All computing centers are wired with 10-base T LAN lines.
Instructional Technology Lab
- More than 40 computers for student use. Desktop PCs run Window XP. Apple notebook computers (wireless enabled) run OS X. All computers have many of the latest productivity and multimedia software packages.
- A digital video and digital audio production facility
- SmartBoard systems for interactive whiteboard presentations
Computer-Assisted Design work areas
- 40 CAD workstations with access to a Teamcenter Community system located in seven locations
New Media Center
- State-of-the-art multimedia production facility for students and faculty use.
- Access to 48 XP-based desktop PCs and 21 Apple computers with Mac OS X.
Math Emporium
- More than 500 networked, Apple computers running Mac OS X
