We are dedicated to the preparation of educational professionals.  The focus of our research, instruction, and outreach is clearly on preparing teachers as leaders for the 21st century.  We value and embrace inquiry and reflection, diversity and social justice, and field based collaboration with our P-12 partners, the university, state, nation and the world.

Our nationally accredited graduate programs offer students opportunities to:

  • use emerging, 21st century pedagogies and technology
  • interact with nationally recognized, and highly qualified faculty in small programs
  •  engage with learners in a variety of settings: urban & rural schools and  informal  and service learning in communities
  • participate in interdisciplinary research

Students seek masters and doctoral degrees, as well as initial and provisional licensure, add-on endorsements, certificates and specialist programs designed for practicing teachers, educational leaders and researchers.  These programs are offered through a variety of delivery methods including on-campus, distance, online, field based, and hybrid courses.
